Main responsibilities:
- Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for services including security, parking, cleaning, catering, technology and so on;
- Supervising multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security;
- Ensuring that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
- Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Use best business practices to manage and reduce operation costs
- Overseeing building projects, renovations or refurbishments
- Helping businesses to find and relocate to new offices and to make decisions about leasing
- Drafting reports and making written recommendations
- Manage the maintenance of the building by performing repairs or contracting maintenance services as needed
- Track building upkeep as well as anticipated long- and short-term improvements and maintenance
- Keep the surrounding grounds properly cared for and landscaped
- Interview and hire certain facility employees and contractors, such as maintenance staff
- Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility
- Carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with regulations
- Developing and maintaining quality standards.
Main requirements:
- Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, repairs etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Degree in relevant field.
